At TIM ZEPP ENGINES we are proud to offer other performance shops, and our customers a completely machined, blueprinted, powder coated, (your choice of color) engine block ready for assembly. We start with a brand new race block. All blocks are put in the CNC machining center. The cylinders are blue print bored, the block is square decked, the mains are align honed, the complete block is de burred, lifter bores honed, then the block is torque plate honed, the cross hatch depth is checked with a digital profilometer to set the proper RZ and RA finish of the cylinder wall, per application. After this the block is completely scrubbed, chemically cleaned, and powder coated. Next we install coated cam bearings and all the oil galley & freeze plugs. The cylinder walls are final cleaned with a proprietary cleaning solution and oiled, then shrink wrapped so no dirt or moisture will contaminate the block. When you cut the shrink wrap off, your block is ready to assemble. Your block comes with a sonic sheet, a specification sheet on all the critical sizes of the block, plus a profilometer graph of the RA and RZ in micro inches of the cylinder wall finish.
